Scourge

Pain is a lonely companion

It always reminds me that I am alive

I live with the scourge of death

Knowing that it will be violent

With a blow it will have been taken

It will return to the Great Mother

I will have lived the moment

Knowing that I am already leaving

I will not have parasitized life

Nor occupied God's time and space

I will have lived life, present

I will have joined the Eternal.
